Red Fish [Video/Action for Cherrygrove City]

<sub>[The video begins with a great deal of commotion.]

[It would seem that it turned on right in the middle of some kind of confrontation-- ... in the water, no less.]

[There's a lot of splashing around, and judging from the murky visuals on the screen, the 'Gear is in a pocket, and being continually plunged in and out of the surf. Finally, the sky rolls around, although it's soon replaced by a tumbling view of wet sand, sky, wet sand again, and then finally, the owner of the 'Gear, staggering out of the waves and trundling up onto the beach.]

[It's Toothless, sopping wet and growling possessively, his normally-spiky hair hanging down around his face like seaweed.]

[... But what will probably catch most peoples' attention is the fact that he appears to have a fairly sizable Magikarp, still squirming and flopping, lodged partway down his throat.]

[... And with some hurk-hurk-hurking noises, he's trying to swallow the rest of it, too.]

[Wellp. He's in for a rude awakening...]</sub>

<sub>[Well, Machi may not look impressed, but he's not actively throwing something at Toothless anymore, so... as far as the dragon-turned-human is concerned, that means he must be appropriately intimidated.]

[Just to be sure, he hunkers down further in the sand and lets the fish slide out of his mouth, pinning it with one large hand, before curling his lip at the silent boy and making a few possessive grunts.]

[MINE. My fish. Not yours. GOT IT?]</sub>

[Action] I give up trying to make this not sound stupid.

[Machi stands there, watching--indirectly, out of the edge of his vision--Toothless crouch and grunt. It's... uh. Well, it's something, anyway.

Something stupid.

And bad; this was definitely 'insane person' behaviour now.

As an unfortunate side effect to Toothless' change of position, though, Machi isn't really aligned directly with the ex-dragon any more--looking at him, he's sort of staring off into space somewhere above Toothless' head.

They both probably look pretty stupid.]

[Action] IT DOESN'T SOUND STUPID, YOU'RE FINE.

<sub>[Well, Toothless can at least tell that Machi's not... looking at him. Which could be a show of defeat. But... on the other hand, Hiccup did that sometimes when he didn't want Toothless to know he was up to something.]

[So just to be sure he gets the message fully, he scoots around until he's fully facing Machi, with the fish pinned under both hands.]

[And then, he lets out a long, menacing hiss. Bared teeth and all.]</sub>

[Okay, Machi is now officially starting to stress out--he can stand his ground and try wait it out, yes, but there's nothing stopping this weirdo from just suddenly snapping and attacking him.

After a moment of temporary indecision and panic, he scoops up another rock and chucks it in Toothless' very vague general direction--and accidentally with much better aim.

In fact, there's a chance it may even hit the ex-dragon this time.]

Go away from me!

<sub>[This time, the rock hits home.]

[It bounces painfully off of the dragon-turned-boy's shoulder, and Toothless lets out a yelp in response.]

[OW! That... actually REALLY HURT. Not that getting rocks chucked at you was a picnic even as a dragon, but in this body, without scales or even just leathery skin to protect him, it was a lot worse.]

[Looking down at his arm in shock for a second, Toothless then whips his head around to face the rock-slinging youth. While before, there had merely been a general territorial anger, now he's genuinely angry. That was an attack, after all. Eyes narrowing, Toothless at last abandons the Magikarp... in favor of lunging forward in an awkward, lurching but surprisingly-fast gait on all fours. Towards Machi.]</sub>

HWEEEAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGH!

[He is given just enough time for his eyes to widen before the older kid slams into him, taking him off his feet and knocking his sunglasses askew; he makes no sound, however, and goes down in silence save for the sound of impact.

He does not go down gently, however. Panic had frozen him, but the instant he found himself on his back, it was though it touched off an explosion--from stiffened, paralysed shock, Machi suddenly bursts into a violent, defencive assault, lunging up to try and sink his teeth into Toothless and shove him off.]

<sub>[The bite sunk in-- Toothless sure wasn't aiming to dodge any blows. He was bigger and he knew it. Of course, his soft new flesh didn't provide anywhere near as much protection from teeth as his old, tough hide did-- so he let out an aggravated squeal of pain as he was bitten.]

[Unfortunately for Machi... Toothless absolutely intended to deliver a bite of his own with his big, wide jaws-- and he was a lot bigger and stronger than Machi was.]

[N-NOW WOULD BE A GOOD TIME FOR A POKEMON TO COME TO THE RESCUE.]</sub>

[AND IT DOES.

As far as Machi knew, the Poochyena came out of nowhere. Where only a few seconds ago it had been nowhere in sight, it now came barrelling towards Toothless, teeth bared, and launched into a flying leap before slamming into the ex-dragon, growling furiously.]

POOCHYENA!

_{[Caught by surprise, Toothless was slammed backwards off of the smaller boy, mouth open wide as he squalled and snapped at the shaggy little creature.]}

GRAAAAUH! GRAAAAAAAWGH!

<sub>[But where Pokemon fight, it's inevitable that more will come, and almost immediately, a series of paff paff paffs in the sand are heard as a small blue thing comes sprinting over the dunes. Toothless hasn't been particularly kind to his starter's attempts to stay close to him, so she's taken to following him from a distance.]

[But she's not going to stay away when something is ATTACKING her trainer. Enter one angry Bagon.]</sub>
